Ancient Species -
Ichthyosaurs

Ichthyosaurs were lizard-like marine reptiles  As they developed, they become more fish-like in appearance.

Ichthyosaurs first appeared in the Triassic Period (248 to 213 million years ago) and reached their peak in the Jurassic Period (213 to 144 million years ago).

Ichthyosaurs became extinct late in the Cretaceous Period (144 to 66.4 million years ago) several million years before the dinosaurs were wiped out.
